His Accountancy Experience Is Comprehensive And Although Dealing With All Aspects Of Accountancy And Taxation Work, Steve Specialises In Tax Planning And Corporate Finance. He Works On Management Buy-Ins For Companies Whose Net Worth Can Run Into Millions Of Pounds. Steve Particularly Enjoys Working On Complex Tax Problems And Offering Innovative Solutions. He Is Also Responsible For Coordinating The Online Lodgement Of A Vast Number Of Personal Tax Returns On Behalf Of The Clients Of Murray Taylor.
After Qualifying, He Spent Three Years With A Small Accountancy Firm In Cupar, Fife Before Moving To The Personal Tax Department Of Ernst And Young In Aberdeen. He Had A Short Stay With Another Firm In Montrose Before Setting Up On His Own Account In 1989. In 1990 He Met Tom Murray And Murray Taylor Was Formed.

Robert Sim Began His Career In Accountancy Back In 1992, In Aberdeen, Where He Worked For A Sole Practitioner For Around 4 Years. After Obtaining An Hnd In Accountancy He Moved To A Medium Sized Accountancy Practice Based In The East Of Scotland Which Had Offices In Inverurie, Forfar, Dundee And Perth. During His 6 Years At This Practice Robert Completed Is Acca Training And Qualified As A Chartered Certified Accountant In 2000. Robert Worked Within The Inverurie, Forfar And Dundee Offices And During That Time Gained Vast Experience In The Preparation Of Small Sole Trader, Partnerships And Limited Company Accounts And Was Involved In The Audit Of Several Medium Size Companies Across A Wide Range Of Industries. Robert Also Assisted His Clients With Tax Compliance And Advising On Tax Planning Strategies On A Personal And Company Level.
Robert Joined Murray Taylor In September 2004 And Has Continued Developing His Skills In Tax, Accounts And Auditing. Robert Now Oversees 99% Of The Firm’S Audit Work Which Includes Charities, Clubs And Associations, Churches And Medium Sized Companies. In Addition He Looks After A Wide Range Of Smaller Clients, Assisting Them With Their Statutory Obligations And Advising On Tax Planning Initiatives Available To Them.

Chris Began His Career In Accountancy In 1989 After Spending The First Six Years Of His Working Life As A Management Apprentice For The National Coal Board. After One Year Working For A Sole Practitioner In Eyam, Derbyshire, He Moved To Warneford Gibbs,  A Much Larger Firm Based In Sheffield, Where He Spent The Next Five Years. During His Time There, He Managed The Implementation Of The Computerisation Of The Firm As Well As Becoming Involved In The Provision Of Value Added Services To Clients Such As Management Accounting, Cash-Flow Projections And The Development Of Management Systems. After A Short Spell As Financial Controller Of A Satellite And Digital Company, He Returned To Warneford Gibbs In 1997 Where He Completed His Acca Qualifications.
In 1999 He Relocated To Liverpool, Spending Four Years At Topping Partnership In Manchester And A Further Year At Champion Accountants In Southport Before Leaving The Profession In 2005 To Become The Finance Director Of The Woods Group Of Construction Companies. In 2008, Following The Successful Merger And Handover To New Owners He Relocated To Scotland To Join Murray Taylor As Client Manager In The Montrose Office Before Becoming A Partner In October 2010.
As Well As Providing Advice On All Aspects Of Accountancy And Taxation, Chris’S Particular Areas Of Interest Are In The Development Of Management Information Systems, Planning, Profit Improvement, Forecasting And Assisting Clients To Be More Efficient And Spend More Time Enhancing Their Business Rather Than Working In It.

Louise Began Her Accountancy Career In 2001, When She Worked For A Medium Sized Accountancy Practice Which Had Offices In Forfar, Dundee And Perth. During Her 4 Years At The Forfar Practice, Louise Completed Her Cat Training And Qualified As A Certified Accounting Technician.  She Then Began Studying Towards Her Acca Exams And During That Time Gained A Lot Of Experience In The Preparation Of Small Sole Trader, Partnerships And Limited Company Accounts For A Wide Variety Of Industries Including Doctor’S Surgeries. She Also Assisted Her Clients With Bookkeeping And Personal Tax Returns.
Louise Joined Murray Taylor In March 2005 Where She Was Involved In The Opening Of Our Arbroath Office In May Of That Year. She Completed Her Acca Training And Qualified As A Chartered Certified Accountant In 2006 And Has Continued Developing Her Skills In Tax And Accounts With A Small Involvement In Auditing. She Looks After A Wide Range Of Clients, Assisting Them With Their Statutory Obligations And Advising On Tax Planning Initiatives Available To Them.
Louise Continues To Look After Our Arbroath Office As The Resident Partner And Is Part Of The Team That Specialise In Doctor’S Surgeries.
Louise Is Also A Founder Member Of The Declaration Chapter Of Business Network International, In Arbroath, Where She Continues To Be An Enthusiastic Member.
